چکیده
Magnetic Scaffolds MagS are 3D composite materials, in which magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) used to load a polymeric matrix. Due their wide use various medical applications, there is an increasing demand of advanced techniques for non-destructive quality assessment procedures aimed at verifying the absence defects and, more generally, dedicated characterization MagS. In this framework, TeraHertz (THz) waves multifunctional scaffolds represents open challenge scientific community. This paper deals with approach by means THz time-domain system reflection mode. analyses performed on poly( $\epsilon$ - capprolactone) (PCL) magnetized iron oxide (Fe notation="LaTeX">$_{3}$ O notation="LaTeX">$_{4}$ ) MNPs through drop-casting deposition and tuned obtain different distributions MNP biomaterial. The proposed data processing allows quantitative MagS, terms (estimated) thickness refractive index. Moreover, procedure identify areas scaffold wherein mainly concentrated thus, it gives us information about spatial distribution.

Non-destructive terahertz imaging of illicit drugs using spectral fingerprints.
The absence of non-destructive inspection techniques for illicit drugs hidden in mail envelopes has resulted in such drugs being smuggled across international borders freely. We have developed a novel basic technology for terahertz imaging, which allows detection and identification of drugs concealed in envelopes, by introducing the component spatial pattern analysis. The spatial distributions ...

The feasibility of applying time-domain, terahertz spectroscopic imaging to the evaluation of underdrawings and paint layers embedded within wall paintings is demonstrated. Metallic and dielectric paint patterns and a graphite drawing are resolved through both paint and plaster overlayers using a pulsed-terahertz reflectometer and imaging system. We calculated the bulk refractive indices of fou...

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has been applied to non-invasively elucidate several aspects of bio-fouling of nano-filtration and reverse osmosis membranes (ROMs) modules as a function of fouling time. These include the spatial distribution of biomass accumulation and its effect on system hydrodynamics, the effect on these parameters of ROM cleaning protocols and the detailed validation of 3D...

Terahertz (THz) imaging is being adopted for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) applications in aerospace and other government and industrial settings [1-3]. NASA is currently employing THz reflection NDE to examine the space shuttle external tank sprayed on foam insulation (SOFI) for voids and disbonds. Homeland security applications such as the inspection of personnel[2], the detection of conce...
